Why I Love Stampin' Up; Colour Co-ordination

I have been crafty most of my life.  Notice I said crafty, not artistic or creative, that's one thing I am certainly not.  I really can't draw or colour to save my life but I love the creative process and seeing something I have made.  I also enjoy the number of wonderful friendly supportive people I have met through crafting.

I especially love paper crafting, making cards, scrapbook pages and recording our families day to day adventures through Project Life. Boxes can be made as well as decorative pieces like pictures and candle decorations.  The products and tools really are so versatile too.
Stampin Up Color Coordinating Colors Make You Look More Creative
Stampin' Up products are not just high quality but all the colours match throughout the vast range of products they manufacture.   I know that when I use Coastal Cabana or Strawberry Slush I know I can just grab some ink and cardstock and it will match perfectly.  No more having to look through a stack of paper trying to find a random piece that might kind of match with the ink I am using.  Time and time again it's the perfect match.

The same can be said for the stamp sets and matching punches and dies.  They have been made to go hand in hand together.

Stampin’ Up! has a wide range of colour coordinated choices that includes much more than just ink and paper.  Now you can get color coordinated
  • Ink Pads
  • Cardstock in A4 AND 12″x12″
  • Markers
  • Designer Series Paper
  • Brads
  • Buttons
  • Ribbon
  • Embossing Powder
What will they think of next?
It really is so easy to craft with Stampin' Up products and I'd love for you to get involved and see how easy you can create some magical projects yourself.  If you live local to me in Tywyn Wales why not hold a workshop with friends, family or co-workers?  At a workshop we can all have fun whilst I show you some of the amazing products Stampin' Up has to offer and we can all make a small project together.  The project will be aimed at your guests abilities, even first time crafter's can take home a stunning make that they can be proud of.

If you are already with Stampin' Up products and wish to expand your collection you can order online 24/7 from my online Stampin' Up shop.  Alternatively ,if you have ever thought about joining Stampin' Up as either a Hobby or active demo now is the time to do so.  You have until Monday (21 October) night to take advantage of the lowest ever priced Starter Kit; Just £25 to celebrate Stampin' Up's 25th anniversary*.

2013-15 In Colour Collection Makes Part 5

Today's makes are a card and an open/closed banner for my toy shop made using the Hearts A Flutter Stamp Set and matching framelits:

Wood  131922  £22.95
Clear  129252  £17.95
Framelits  130159  £20.95

There are 8 stamps i the set and 5 matching framelits.  They are so simple to use together.  First stamp you image on to your card and then cut out using your Big Shot (113439  £87.95).  To make it really easy why not use the new Big Shot Magnetic Platform (13058  £35.95) to keep the framelits in place while you cut.

To make this card I cut some Coostal Cobans card stock in to a 3" square card base ( 6" x 3", scored at 3") and then matted  a slightly smaller whisper White mat.  I then stamped the largest heart on to a sheet of paper from the Winter Frost DSP Pack (Seasonal Catty  132183 £8.50) and using the framelits I cut it out.  The card was stamped with a sentiment from the Remembering Your Birthday Stamp Set (Wood  131347  £21.95  Clear  131350  £17.95).

Inside a white mat and sentiment from the same set.

I used the same stamp set and framelits to make a banner.

After cutting and gluing together the individual banner pieces I turned them over on the desk and glued the piece of string to them.

On the reverse I glued the coordinating piece to make the banner say open on one side and closed on the other.

I hung it in the window on two pegs and each morning and night we just turn the banner around.

2013-15 In Colour Collection Makes Part 2

Today I am showing you some cards made with the new Stampin' Up hexagon bundle available in this years annual catalogue.  Hexagon's were quite big in the paper crafting world in 2012 and as a scrapbooker I noticed that a large number of scrapbook paper manufacturers had hexagons in their collections.  At the time I thought somebody needs to bring out a hexagon punch.

In the summer Stampin' Up had a hexagon/honeycomb embossing folder which I snapped up and loved from the word go.

Honeycomb Embossing Folder   129378   £7.50

It was lovely to see this item has made it in to this years annual catalogue along with a lovely stamp set and matching punch:

Six Sided Sampler
Wood  130953  £23.95
Clear 130956  £18.95

Hexagon Punch  130919  £130919

Stampin' Up have also packaged the stamps and punch together to make the six sided bundle which sells for 15% less than if you purchased the items separately.

Six Sided Sampler Bundle
Wood   132725  £33.50
Clear   132724  £29.25

As with all stamps and punches from Stampin' Up these work together wonderfully.  Here are a few cards I have made using all three items:

I have used the same three colours on each of these cards:

Strawberry Slush
Crisp Cantaloupe
Coastal Cobana

I love the way that even though the colours are all the same on each card, each one looks so much different as a result of changing the colour of the mat used.

You can see the codes for the ink and cardstock used on these cards here.  In addition I have used Whisper White cardstock to stamp the hexagons on and raising them with Stampin' Up dimensionals (104430 £3.25 for 300 acid free dots)

2013-15 In Colour Collection Makes Part 1

On Monday I talked about the 2013-15 In colour collection; a set of 5 subtle tones available from Stampin' Up for the next 2 years.  Now I have spent a few weeks playing with this collection and I must say I love them.  The colours coordinate together so well and the products available is fantastic.

I first started with the Delicate Doilies stamp Set:

Wood 128541  £19.95
Clear  122592  £15.95

The set contains 4 stamps.  The largest stamp coordinates with the  2 1/2" punch (120906  £15.50) and the third largest coordinates with the 1 3/4" punch (119850  £15.50).  For these cards I have used the two middle stamps and used a slightly smaller punch (1 3/8"  119860  £14.25) to cut the smaller of the two stamps to layer on top of one of the larger stamped images.

Thank you for taking the time to visit and look at some projects I have made using the In Colour 2013-15 Collection.  Please come back on Friday when I will have some more makes to show you with the Six Sided Sampler bundle (Hexagons).

I really do value your custom and would love for you to start crafting with Stampin' Up Products and as a Thank you I am running a promotion this month where I will send you a thank you gift from the In Colour 2013-15 Collection when you make a purchase from my Stampin' Up Online store in excess of £75.
